Bronze in Bermuda for Riptide Racing

Chris Poole and the Riptide Racing team take Bronze in Bermuda at the 2025 Bermuda Gold Cup. A podium at this event is a great result for the team and towards our 2025 WMRT Points Championship effort.
Sailing with the team this week were new faces to Riptide but not to the WMRT. Doing tactics and main was Adam Minoprio, with Tom Powrie trimming, and Nick Blackman on the bow. These guys did an awesome job all week to keep improving and getting faster.
We made it through to the Semi-Finals in third after a double round robin. The top seeded team picked 2nd place and we met a familiar opponent in Ian Williams in our semi-final. As is often the case when our teams line up the series went the full 5 races. Unfortunately it went the way of Ian Williams 3-2 leaving us to fight for the final podium spot. In the Petit-finals we lined up against Eric Monnin and had a great battle with a bit of luck in the second race keep us alive. In the third and final race of the series we got the win to take the final spot on the podium 2-1. This 3rd places sees us still atop the WMRT Leaderboard for the Overall Points Championship heading to China.
Next up for the team is the WMRT Finals in Shenzhen China in January.
