Chris Poole and the Riptide Racing team have finished 2nd at the 60th U.S. Congressional Cup. A tough end to the event for the team especially with how well we were sailing well all week to just came up short losing 3-2 against Eric Monnin in the finals. Chris Poole commented "It's a double lose in the sense that we lost the finals but also the chance at a 3 peat, but in the big picture it's yet another podium for our 2025 campaign. The goal is to be consistent and and 3rd and Macao and a 2nd in Long Beach sees us achieving that." The team of Harry West, Rob Scrivenor, Mal Parker, Ben Lamb, Joachim Aschenbrenner, and Chris Poole did a great job this week to put the team in a position to win. We had our opportunities in the finals against Eric but failed to capitalize on a few of his mistakes and made too many of our own in the end. Congratulations to Eric Monnin and his team on their first Congressional Cup win.
Next up for the team is Match Cup Sweden on the island of Marstrand in July
